introduction of Taro® XP series

We are pleased to introduce the high BN range of the new Taro® XP series—high-performance diesel engine oils developed for four-stroke medium-speed trunk piston engines in marine applications.

The range is formulated with highly refined base oils and advanced additives, offering strong viscosity control at high temperatures, and the BN retention characteristics help to prevent corrosive wear over long periods of operation. Their detergent and dispersant system help ensure piston cleanliness and is formulated to minimise deposits on both hot and cold engine parts. Taro XP lubricants also provide strong water tolerance and enable effective separation of water and contaminants.

Taro® XP engine oil series are formulated specifically for medium-speed trunk piston engines that burn residual fuel. They are also suitable for distillate- or biofuel, to be applied in line with relevant OEM recommendations.
 
In addition, they are approved by major stern tube manufacturers and the strong load carrying capacity makes them suitable for reduction gears where FZG failure load stage up to 12 is required. Hence, they offer a comprehensive solution for the entire propulsion system.

The high BN range of the new Taro XP series replaces the Taro DP / XL X series and become the “Parent Product”.  The Taro DP / XL series (without X-denominator) remain as a “Regional Equivalent”. Depending on the port designated either e.g. the Parent Product Taro 20 XP 30 or its Regional Equivalent Taro 20 DP 30 may be delivered.
