please tell us about what you do at chevron marine and your journey with the company so far

My role is to support Chevron Marine Lubricants new build business in China shipyards to grow our new build volumes and achieve our annual New Build target.

what do you believe chevron marine has to offer customers?

We are collaborating in new ways with extensive capabilities and partnerships to help deliver scalable solutions with measurable impact. Our goal is to help customers meet their lower carbon ambitions and reduce the carbon intensity of our operations.

what aspect of your role do you find most rewarding?

It is rewarding to develop relationships with local shipyards to better understand customer expectations to support our New Build business. Being a coordinator overseeing the whole New Build process is equally rewarding, especially finding ways to streamline processes with all stakeholders.

what goals do you have within the company?

My goal is to help Chevron Marine Lubricants grow its New Build volumes by providing a compelling and differentiated offer to our existing and prospective customers. By demonstrating how Chevron Marine handles the end-to-end management of the lubricant requirement and fulfilment from vessel on-order to in service sailing.

what is your most rewarding project to date?

Participating in the project of marine lubricant product development, together with the Chevron technical team to address challenges related to the different fuels' customers use on board vessels. 

What specialised skills, knowledge and/or talents do you use in your work?

Before joining the Chevron Marine Lubricants team, I worked in a shipyard for five years, as well as a ship owner for six years. I know the shipbuilding process very well and have good relationships with the local shipyards, which is helpful in supporting our New Build business and understanding customer requirements.

 

I graduated from Dalian Maritime University with a master degree in Marine engineering and fully understand maritime industry because of my previous experience.
