please tell us about what you do at chevron marine and your journey with the company so far
I began my career with Chevron Marine 13 years ago in the customer services department. My first assignment covered the customer base from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Currently, I solely handle the Norwegian market, as well as assist my colleagues with other customer areas where needed. My role consists of handling customer orders, for various vessels, such as gas tankers and cargo ships. I am trusted to maintain accuracy throughout the ordering process, to ensure that the customer receives the correct products and quantities. I also work closely with our global delivery agencies and various customer purchasing teams to ensure the smooth delivery of products.
what do you believe chevron marine has to offer customers?
Our customers benefit from having one dedicated Inside Sale Representative that they work with on a day-to-day basis, alongside an entire global support team that is always on-hand to help. Chevron Marine Lubricants offers solution orientated customer service, with multiple offices globally and multiple languages spoken amongst us. This means we can aid our customers wherever they operate from.
what aspect of your role do you find most rewarding?
I have worked with Chevron Marine for 13 years, and I have built great relationships with customers. I find it extremely rewarding when there is a problem to solve, and I help to find a solution. We work as a team across the globe, in collaboration with various stakeholders, to help provide solutions for our customers. I love being part of the global Chevron Marine Lubricants Inside Sales Representative team.
where do you think you can have the biggest impact in your role?
The biggest impact I have in my role is ensuring the safety of our customers. I do this by following the appropriate internal procedures during the ordering process, and I continue to do this throughout all my daily tasks. The procedures put in place are important to ensure customers’ safety, and my contribution to following these is where I can help make the biggest difference for customers. I am dedicated to always putting their safety first.
if you had to acquire one new skill, what would it be?
With the evolving digital landscape, I would love to learn more skills in coding and computer science.
