The FAST™ XRF Onboard Analyzer uses X-ray fluorescence technology to perform rapid and accurate determination of total iron content and base number in lubricants, including main engine cylinder drip oil samples.

Validation and field testing
The analyzer underwent rigorous laboratory validation testing, demonstrating strong correlation with reference laboratory results for both BN and total iron content. Field testing on a 15,372 TEU containership, covering more than 150 samples, further confirmed consistent alignment with laboratory data.
